| Metronidazole |
This product is a nitroimidazole derivative that can inhibit the redox reaction of amoeba and break the nitrogen chain of the protozoa. In vitro tests have shown that when the drug concentration is 1-2 mg/L, the histolytica amoeba can undergo morphological changes in 6-20 hours and all are killed within 24 hours. When the concentration is 0.2 mg/L, the histolytica amoeba can be killed within 72 hours. This product has a strong effect of killing trichomonas, and its mechanism is unknown. Metronidazole has a killing effect on anaerobic microorganisms, and the metabolites generated when it is reduced in the human body also have anti-anaerobic effects, inhibiting the synthesis of bacterial deoxyribonucleic acid, thereby interfering with the growth and reproduction of bacteria, and ultimately causing bacterial death. It has a carcinogenic effect on some animals.

| Cephalexin |
Cephalexin is a first-generation cephalosporin. It is sensitive to most strains of Streptococcus pneumoniae, hemolytic Streptococcus, and penicillinase-producing or non-producing Staphylococci. It has a good antibacterial effect on Neisseria, but a poorer sensitivity to Haemophilus influenzae. It has a certain antibacterial effect on some Escherichia coli, Proteus mirabilis, Salmonella and Shigella, while the remaining Enterobacteriaceae, Acinetobacter, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and Bacteroides fragilis are resistant. Fusobacterium and Veillonella are generally sensitive to it, and anaerobic Gram-positive cocci are moderately sensitive.

It has strong anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive effects. In terms of anti-inflammatory effects, it can antagonize and inhibit the release of inflammatory mediators, experimental inflammation and the degree of arthritis response. In terms of immunosuppressive effects, it can inhibit humoral immunity and cellular immune responses.
