Cresol soap solution
Function and Efficacy
The bactericidal ability of coal phenol soap solution is similar to that of phenol, and its carbolic acid coefficient varies with the ingredients and bacteria, ranging from 1.6 to 5. A solution containing 0.6% to 1% of this product can kill most pathogens in 10 minutes, and killing spores requires a higher concentration and a longer time. The main bactericidal component of this disinfectant is cresol, and the three isomers have similar bactericidal effects. Its carbolic acid coefficient is between 2.0 and 2.7, and oral administration can cause death.

Appearance
This product is a yellow-brown to reddish-brown viscous liquid with a cresol odor. It can be mixed with ethanol to form a clear liquid.
Indication
This product is used for disinfection of equipment, environment and treatment of excrement.
Usage and Dosage
Soak, spray or wipe the surface of contaminated objects with its aqueous solution, the concentration is 1% to 5%, and the action time is 30 to 60 minutes. Use 5% concentration for crystallization of nucleobacterium, and act for 1 to 2 hours. To enhance the bactericidal effect, the liquid can be heated to 40 to 50°C. The concentration for skin disinfection is 1 to 2%. Use 5 to 10% aqueous solution to disinfect dressings, instruments and handle excrement.
Adverse Reactions
This product has a certain irritating and corrosive effect on the skin, so it is gradually being replaced by other disinfectants
