Function and Efficacy
Angelica, Rehmannia root, white peony root, and processed Polygonum multiflorum have the function of antagonizing cytokines, transforming growth factor beta, and platelet-derived growth factor; Scrophularia, Angelica, Polygonum cuspidatum, and Carthamus tinctorius have the function of protecting stem cells and reducing inflammation; Scrophularia and Rehmannia root have the function of preventing the activation of storage cells; Bupleurum, Cyperus rotundus, white peony root and Curcuma aromatica have the function of increasing the activity of collagenase.
