Pantoprazole Sodium for Injection

Function and Efficacy

This product is a proton pump inhibitor of gastric parietal cells. It is relatively stable under neutral and weakly acidic conditions and rapidly activated under strongly acidic conditions, thus having better selectivity for H and K-ATPase. This product can specifically inhibit the H and K-ATPase on the secretory microtubules and tubular vesicles in the cytoplasm formed by the apical membrane of parietal cells. It causes irreversible inhibition of the enzyme. Thus, it effectively inhibits the secretion of gastric acid. This product has a strong acid-suppressing ability. It can not only non-competitively inhibit the gastric acid secretion caused by gastrin, histamine, and choline, but also inhibit some basic gastric acid secretion that is not affected by choline or H2 receptor blockers. This product has no carcinogenic, teratogenic, or mutagenic effects.

Usage and Dosage

Intravenous drip, 40mg~80mg at a time, 1~2 times a day. Before use, inject 10ml0.9% sodium chloride injection into the freeze-dried powder vial, add the above dissolved liquid to 100~250ml 0.9% sodium chloride injection for dilution and then intravenous drip. The intravenous drip should be completed within 15~60 minutes. This product must be used up within 4 hours after dissolution and dilution. It is forbidden to dissolve and dilute it with other solvents or other drugs.

Adverse Reactions

Occasionally, dizziness, insomnia, drowsiness, nausea, diarrhea, constipation, rash and muscle pain may occur. Arrhythmia, elevated transaminases, changes in renal function and decreased granulocytes may occur when used in large doses.

Precautions

1. Those who are allergic to this product are prohibited from using it; 2. Pregnant and lactating women are prohibited from using it.

Special Population Medication

Precautions for children: This experiment has not been conducted and there is no reliable reference. Precautions for pregnancy and lactation: It is contraindicated for pregnant and lactating women. Precautions for the elderly: There is no significant change in the pharmacokinetics (clearance, half-life, bioavailability) of pantoprazole in elderly patients, so the elderly do not need to change the dose.

Drug Interactions

This product has a low affinity for liver cytochrome P450 and has a phase II metabolic pathway, so it interacts less with other drugs metabolized by the cytochrome P450 enzyme system than omeprazole and lansoprazole.

Storage

Keep in airtight, light-proof place.
