This product is white tablets.

Oral. Adults: 1-2 tablets each time, 2-3 times a day, double the first dose, take after meals. When diarrhea is controlled, the dose can be reduced. Children: 8-12 years old, 1 tablet each time, 4 times a day; 6-8 years old, 1 tablet each time, 3 times a day; 2-5 years old, 1 tablet each time, 2 times a day.

Adverse reactions are rare. Dry mouth, nausea, vomiting, headache, drowsiness, depression, irritability, insomnia, rash, abdominal distension and intestinal obstruction may occur occasionally after taking the medicine, which will disappear after reducing the dosage or stopping the medicine.

1. Patients with severe ulcerative colitis may develop toxic megacolon and should not use this drug. 2. Patients with cirrhosis and jaundice should use this drug with caution because it may induce hepatic encephalopathy.

Precautions for children: It can cause respiratory depression in newborns and infants, so it is forbidden for children under 2 years old. Precautions for pregnancy and lactation: It has teratogenic effects, so it is forbidden for pregnant women; lactating women should also use it with caution. Precautions for the elderly: It is not clear yet.

1. Diphenoxylate itself has a central nervous system depressant effect. Since it can enhance the effect of central nervous system depressants, it should not be used in combination with barbiturates, opioids, chloral hydrate, ethanol, glutethimide or other central nervous system depressants. 2. Combination with monoamine oxidase inhibitors may have the potential risk of hypertensive crisis. 3. Combination with nitrofurantoin can double the absorption of the latter.
