Felodipine Tablets
Function and Efficacy
This product is a selective calcium ion antagonist, which mainly inhibits the influx of extracellular calcium in arteriolar smooth muscle cells, selectively dilates arterioles, has no such effect on veins, does not cause postural hypotension, and has no significant inhibitory effect on the myocardium. While reducing renal vascular resistance, this product does not affect the glomerular filtration rate and creatinine clearance rate, and the renal blood flow remains unchanged or even slightly increases, and has a natriuretic and diuretic effect. This product can increase output and cardiac index, significantly reduce afterload, and has no significant effect on cardiac contractile function, preload and heart rate.
Ingredients
The main ingredient of this product is felodipine, and its chemical name is 4-(2,3-dichlorophenyl)-1,4-dihydro-2,6-dimethyl-3-pyridinedicarboxylic acid ethyl ester methyl ester.

Adverse Reactions
This product is the same as other calcium antagonists. Some patients may experience flushing, headache, dizziness, palpitations and fatigue. Most of these reactions are dose-dependent and appear temporarily within a short period of time after the dose is increased, and disappear as the application time increases. This product is the same as other dihydropyridine drugs. It can cause dose-related ankle swelling, gums or periodontitis. Patients may experience mild gum swelling after taking the drug, and may also experience rash and itching.

Drug Interactions
1 When taking this product, taking drugs that affect cytochrome P450 at the same time may affect the blood concentration of felodipine. 2 Enzyme inducing drugs (such as phenytoin, carbamazepine, barbiturates) can cause a decrease in the blood concentration of felodipine. 3 Enzyme inhibitors (cimetidine) can cause an increase in the blood concentration of felodipine. Although felodipine has a high degree of plasma protein binding, it does not affect the binding degree of other plasma protein binding drugs (such as warfarin).
