Long-term and high-dose use may cause vitamin D poisoning. The main symptoms are bone pain, myalgia, irritability, drowsiness, headache, fatigue, weakness, nausea, vomiting, constipation or diarrhea, metallic taste in the mouth, polyuria at night, and weight loss.

Precautions for pregnancy and lactation: Vitamin C can pass through the placenta and be secreted into breast milk. Large daily intake of this product by pregnant women may be harmful to the fetus, but this has not been confirmed by animal experiments. When pregnant women take large doses, infant scurvy may occur. Pregnant and lactating women should use vitamin D preparations with caution. Pregnant women with hypercalcemia may be sensitive to vitamin D, and attention should be paid to dose adjustment. Functionally, it can inhibit the activity of the parathyroid glands, resulting in special facial features, mental retardation and hereditary aortic arch stenosis in infants. Precautions for the elderly: It is not yet clear.

1. Hepatic enzyme inducers such as phenobarbital and phenytoin sodium can reduce the effect of vitamin D. 2. Sucralfate and other drugs can reduce the absorption of vitamin D. 3.
