Povidone-iodine solution
Function and Efficacy
This product is a combination of iodine and polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP). Its mechanism of action is the same as that of iodine tincture. More than 90% of the combined iodine can be depolymerized to generate free iodine to kill bacteria.
Ingredients
This product contains 0.05g of povidone iodine per milliliter. The auxiliary materials are potassium iodide and sodium citrate.

Appearance
This product is dark red liquid.
Indication
It is used for purulent dermatitis, fungal skin infections, small-area mild burns and scalds, and is also used for disinfection of small-area skin and mucous membrane wounds.
Usage and Dosage
For disinfection of abdominal cavity and sutured wounds, rinse with 0.1%~1% solution; for flushing before vaginal surgery and for vaginitis, rinse with 0.1% solution; for oral inflammation, gargle with 0.5% solution; for disinfection of medical devices, soak with 0.2%~0.5% solution; for disinfection of tableware, soak with 0.01%~0.05% solution for 5 minutes.
Adverse Reactions
In very rare cases, there may be slight and brief irritation to the wound mucosa when using the medication, which disappears on its own after a while and does not require special treatment.
Precautions
It is forbidden to use in pregnant and lactating women.

Drug Interactions
1. This product should not be used or come into contact with alkali, alkaloids, chloral hydrate, phenol, sodium thiosulfate, starch, or tannic acid. 2. If used with other drugs, drug interactions may occur. Please consult your doctor or pharmacist for details.
