Sodium Stannous Pyrophosphate for Injection
Function and Efficacy
This product is mainly used to prepare technetium [99mTc] pyrophosphate injection. It is mainly used for bone scanning in clinical practice, and can also be used for positive imaging of acute myocardial infarction. After intravenous injection, the stannous chloride in this product almost completely penetrates the red blood cell membrane and enters the red blood cells, which can reduce the sodium pertechnetium [99mTc] acid subsequently injected intravenously, and quickly and stably bind to the globulin of hemoglobin to complete the red blood cell labeling (99mTc-RBC) and realize the imaging of blood pools (heart blood pool, liver blood pool, etc.).
Ingredients
This product is a compound preparation, and its components are 10 mg of sodium pyrophosphate and 1.0 mg of stannous chloride. This product is a sterile powder of sodium pyrophosphate and stannous chloride that has been freeze-dried. The sodium pyrophosphate (Na4P2O7.10H2O) content should be 80.0% to 115.0% of the labeled amount.

Indication
This product can be used to prepare technetium [99mTc] pyrophosphate injection, but it is currently mostly used clinically to label red blood cells with technetium [99mTc].
Usage and Dosage
1. For the preparation of technetium [99mTc] pyrophosphate injection, take one bottle (tube) of this product, under aseptic operation conditions, inject 4-6ml of sodium pertechnetium [99mTc] acid injection into the bottle, shake it thoroughly to dissolve the lyophilized material, and stand it at room temperature for 5 minutes to obtain 99mTc-PYP injection. 2. For labeling red blood cells, take one bottle (tube) of this product, under aseptic operation conditions, inject 2-5ml of normal saline into the bottle, shake it thoroughly to dissolve the lyophilized material, and inject it intravenously to the subject who has taken 400mg of potassium perchlorate orally in advance. After 20-30 minutes, inject 370-740MBq (10-20mCi) of sodium pertechnetium [99mTc] acid injection intravenously. After 20-30 minutes, technetium [99mTc] labeling of red blood cells (in vivo method) is completed.
Adverse Reactions
Occasionally, allergic reactions such as rash, itching, and urticaria may occur.
