Function and Efficacy

Chloramphenicol is a broad-spectrum antibacterial drug, and its antibacterial spectrum includes aerobic Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria, anaerobes, Rickettsia, spirochetes and Chlamydia, Haemophilus influenzae, Streptococcus pneumoniae and Neisseria meningitidis, Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus pyogenes, Streptococcus viridans, Group B Streptococcus, Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Proteus mirabilis, Salmonella typhi and Salmonella paratyphi, Shigella, Bacteroides fragilis and other anaerobic bacteria. The following bacteria are usually resistant to chloramphenicol: Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Acinetobacter, Enterobacter, Serratia marcescens, indole-positive Proteus, methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus and Enterococcus.

Ingredients

Appearance

This product is a light yellow suppository made of a fatty matrix.

Indication

Used for symptoms such as increased leucorrhea and vaginal burning pain caused by cervicitis.

Usage and Dosage

Vaginal administration: Once a day, before going to bed at night, after cleaning the external vagina, put one tablet of this product into the posterior fornix of the vagina.

Adverse Reactions

1. It may cause local contact dermatitis. 2. After long-term and large-scale use, it may also cause adverse reactions similar to systemic medication due to absorption, especially toxic reactions to the hematopoietic system such as aplastic anemia. 3. Occasionally, allergic reactions may occur.

Precautions

1. It is contraindicated for those who are allergic to this product and chloramphenicol drugs; 2. It is contraindicated for pregnant and lactating women.

Special Population Medication

Precautions for children: Not suitable for newborns and premature infants. Precautions for pregnancy and lactation: Contraindicated for pregnant and lactating women. Precautions for the elderly: The safety and effectiveness of this product for elderly patients is not yet clear.

Drug Interactions

Combination use with macrolide antibiotics such as lincomycin or erythromycin may cause antagonism, so it is not suitable for combined use.
