Burning pain
Causing pain is a severe and persistent burning sensation on the local skin surface caused by incomplete peripheral nerve damage. Postts first described the report of this disease caused by trauma in the late 18th century. Mitehell defined the term "causing pain" in 1972. The whole course of the disease is continuous, often more common in the upper limbs than in the lower limbs, and more common in median nerve and sciatic nerve injuries. About 50% of patients initially experience pain at the site of injury, which may later be limited to the distribution area of the affected nerve.
