Function and Efficacy

This product is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug with anti-inflammatory, analgesic and antipyretic effects. Its mechanism of action is not yet fully understood, but it may be mainly related to the inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis, mediator release of leukocytes and oxidative reactions of polymorphonuclear leukocytes.

Appearance

This product is light yellow tablet.

Indication

This product is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug and is only used when at least one other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug has failed. It can be used for the pain of chronic arthritis (such as osteoarthritis), pain after surgery and acute trauma, and symptomatic treatment of primary dysmenorrhea.

Usage and Dosage

Oral administration: 0.05-0.1g at a time, twice a day, after meals. The maximum single dose should not exceed 100mg, and the course of treatment should not exceed 15 days. It is recommended to use the minimum effective dose and the shortest course of treatment to reduce the occurrence of adverse drug reactions.

Adverse Reactions

The main symptoms are: heartburn, nausea, stomach pain, but the symptoms are mild and short-lived, rarely requiring interruption of treatment. In rare cases, patients develop allergic rashes after taking the drug. Dizziness, drowsiness, gastric ulcers or gastrointestinal bleeding and Stevens-Johnson syndrome may also occur.

Precautions

1. Patients who are allergic to nimesulide or any of the ingredients in this product. 2. Patients with a history of allergy to acetylsalicylic acid or other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (bronchospasm, rhinitis, urticaria). 3. Treatment of perioperative pain in coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG). 4. Patients with a history of hepatotoxic reactions to nimesulide. 5. Patients with a history of gastrointestinal bleeding or perforation after using nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. 6. Patients with active peptic ulcer/bleeding, cerebral vascular bleeding or other active bleeding/hemorrhagic diseases, or patients with recurrent ulcers/bleeding in the past. 7. Patients with blood disorders. 8. Patients with heart failure. 9. Patients with renal impairment. 10. Patients with damage.

Special Population Medication

Precautions for children: Children under 12 years old are prohibited from using this medicine. Precautions for pregnancy and lactation: There are no tests to prove whether nimesulide is toxic to the fetus, so it is not recommended for pregnant women. It has not been confirmed whether nimesulide is excreted through breast milk, so it is not recommended for lactating women. Precautions for the elderly: Due to the decline in renal function in elderly patients, the dosage can be appropriately reduced according to the situation.

Drug Interactions

This product has a high plasma protein binding rate and may displace other protein-bound drugs.
