Nimesulide Granules

This product is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug with anti-inflammatory, analgesic and antipyretic effects. Its mechanism of action is not yet fully understood, but it may be mainly related to the inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis, mediator release of leukocytes and oxidative reactions of polymorphonuclear leukocytes.

Mainly nimesulide. Chemical name: 4-nitro-2-phenoxymethanesulfonylanilide. Molecular weight: 308.32

This product is light yellow granules.

1. This product is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug with anti-inflammatory, analgesic and antipyretic effects. It can be used for chronic joint inflammation (such as rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis); 2. Pain and inflammation after surgery and acute trauma; 3. Pain caused by inflammation of the ear, nose and pharynx; 4. Dysmenorrhea; 5. Treatment of fever and other symptoms caused by upper respiratory tract infection.

This product adopts the shortest possible course of treatment based on the actual clinical situation. Oral administration: for adults, 0.05-0.1g at a time, twice a day, after meals. For children, the usual dose is 5mg/kg body weight/day, divided into 2 to 3 doses. For other precautions, see [Children's Use].

1. Mainly: heartburn, nausea, stomach pain. But the symptoms are mild and short-lived, rarely need to interrupt treatment. In rare cases, patients develop allergic rashes after taking the drug. 2. Even if the use of nimesulide does not produce the above side effects, it should be noted that this product, like other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, may cause dizziness, drowsiness, gastric ulcer or gastrointestinal bleeding and Stevens-Johnson syndrome.

1. Those who are known to be allergic to nimesulide or any of the ingredients in this product. 2. Those with a history of allergy to acetylsalicylic acid or other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (bronchospasm, rhinitis, urticaria). 3. Contraindicated for the treatment of perioperative pain during coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG). 4. Those with a history of hepatotoxic reaction to nimesulide. 5. Patients with a history of gastrointestinal bleeding or perforation after the use of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. 6. Patients with active peptic ulcer/bleeding, cerebral vascular bleeding or other active bleeding/hemorrhagic diseases, or patients with recurrent ulcers/bleeding in the past. 7. Patients with severe coagulation disorders. 8. Patients with severe heart failure. 9. Patients with severe renal impairment. 10. Patients with liver impairment.

Precautions for children: Only for children over 1 year old, the dosage is 5mg/kg body weight/day, divided into 2 to 3 doses, the maximum dose does not exceed 100mg, twice a day. For fever, the course of treatment does not exceed 3 days. For rheumatism, the course of treatment should be in accordance with the doctor's advice. Precautions for pregnancy and lactation: Like all new drugs, nimesulide is not recommended for use during pregnancy if it has not been confirmed through experiments whether nimesulide is toxic to the fetus. It is also not recommended to use this drug during lactation if it is not clear whether nimesulide can be excreted through breast milk. Precautions for the elderly: The dosage of medication for elderly patients should be strictly followed by the doctor's prescription, and the doctor can appropriately reduce the dosage according to the situation.

This product may cross-react with aspirin and other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. Therefore, it is contraindicated for patients who are allergic to these drugs. This product is a highly protein-bound drug, so it may displace other protein-bound drugs. If vision loss occurs after taking other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, treatment should be stopped and an ophthalmological examination should be performed.
