Roxithromycin Granules

A new generation of macrolide antibiotics, it mainly acts on Gram-positive bacteria, anaerobic bacteria, Chlamydia and Mycoplasma, etc. Its in vitro antibacterial effect is similar to that of erythromycin, and its in vivo antibacterial effect is 1 to 4 times stronger than that of erythromycin.

Chemical name: 9-{O-[(2-methoxyethoxy)-methyl]-oxime}erythromycin.

This product is a suspension granule with a fragrant aroma and slightly sweet taste.

1. Suitable for the following infections caused by sensitive strains: (1) Upper respiratory tract infection. (2) Lower respiratory tract infection. (3) Ear, nose and throat infection. (4) Genital infection (except gonococcal infection). (5) Skin and soft tissue infection. 2. Can also be used for mycoplasma pneumonia, Chlamydia trachomatis infection and Legionnaires' disease, etc.

Oral administration: 1. Adults: 150 mg once, twice a day. 2. Children: 100 mg once, twice a day for children weighing 24-40 kg; 50 mg once, twice a day for children weighing 12-23 kg. 3. Infants: 2.5-5 mg/kg once, twice a day, based on body weight, or as directed by a physician.

Gastrointestinal reactions (such as nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea), rash, and abnormal liver function (such as increased alanine aminotransferase (ALT) and aspartate aminotransferase (AST)) may be seen.

It is contraindicated for those who are allergic to this product.
