Loratadine
Function and Efficacy
This product is a long-acting tricyclic antihistamine that competitively inhibits histamine H1 receptors and inhibits allergic symptoms caused by histamine. This product has no obvious anticholinergic and central nervous system inhibitory effects. Toxicology: No obvious teratogenic effects were found in animal tests.
Indication
It is suitable for relieving symptoms related to allergic rhinitis, such as sneezing, runny nose and itchy nose, as well as itchy and burning eyes. Oral medication can quickly relieve nasal and eye symptoms and signs. This product is also suitable for relieving symptoms and signs of chronic urticaria and other allergic skin diseases.
Usage and Dosage
Take on an empty stomach. Adults and children over 12 years old take 10 mg each time, once a day.
Precautions
It is contraindicated for patients who are allergic to this product or have special physical conditions.
Drug Interactions
Drugs that inhibit the function of liver drug metabolizing enzymes can slow down the metabolism of this product. Taking ketoconazole 400 mg daily can increase the plasma concentration of loratadine and its active metabolite descarboxyethyl loratadine, but no electrocardiogram changes were observed. Combination use with macrolide antibiotics, cimetidine, theophylline and other drugs can also inhibit the metabolism of loratadine.
