Levodroproprazine
Indication
Antitussive and expectorant. It is the levorotatory isoform of racemic hydroxyphenylpiperazine, which is non-addictive to the central nervous system. Its effects are intermediate to those of racemic hydroxyphenylpiperazine, but its side effects are significantly reduced. It has almost no central nervous system sedative effect of hydroxyphenylpiperazine, and has no significant effect on the cardiovascular and respiratory systems. It is non-drug dependent, and its tolerance index is higher than that of racemic hydroxyphenylpiperazine, and its effect lasts longer.
