Acetyl midecamycin dry suspension

This product is a macrolide antibiotic. It has antibacterial effects on Staphylococcus, Streptococcus (excluding faecal Streptococcus), Peptostreptococcus, Bacteroides (excluding Bacteroides fragilis) and Haemophilus influenzae, and has an inhibitory effect on the growth of Mycoplasma pneumoniae. Some erythromycin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus are also sensitive to it. Its mechanism of action is to inhibit bacterial protein synthesis by binding to the 70S subunit of the bacterial ribosome.

The main ingredient of this product is acetyl midecamycin.

This product is orange-yellow powder with aromatic odor and sweet taste.

Folliculitis, furuncle, carbuncle, cellulitis, subcutaneous abscess, otitis media, pharyngitis, tonsillitis, bronchitis, pneumonia, etc. caused by Staphylococcus aureus, hemolytic streptococcus, pneumococcus, influenza bacillus, mycoplasma pneumoniae, etc. that are sensitive to this product.

Dissolve in warm water and take. 1. Children: 30-40 mg (30,000-40,000 units) per kg body weight per day; 2. Adults: 0.6-1.2 g (600,000-1.2 million units) per day, divided into 3-4 times.

Gastrointestinal reactions such as loss of appetite, nausea, and stomach discomfort may occur, as well as temporary increases in serum alanine aminotransferase and aspartate aminotransferase. Occasionally, skin rashes, urticaria, temporary eosinophilia, stomatitis, and angular cheilitis may occur.

Patients who are allergic to this product or macrolide drugs are contraindicated.

Precautions for children: Not yet clear. Precautions for pregnancy and lactation: The safety of medication during pregnancy has not been established, so pregnant women or women who may become pregnant should only use the medication when the benefits of treatment outweigh the risks. Precautions for the elderly: Not yet clear.

When used in combination with preparations containing cyclosporine, ergotamine, and carbamazepine, the blood concentrations of these drugs will be increased, so they must be used with caution and the dosage of these drugs must be reduced.
