Minoxidil Liniment

Minoxidil is a peripheral vasodilator that can stimulate hair growth in patients with male pattern baldness and alopecia areata when used topically for a long time. The exact mechanism by which this product treats hair loss is unknown. Clinical studies have shown that when used topically in normotensive and untreated hypertensive patients, no systemic effects due to absorption of minoxidil were observed.

Each bottle of this product contains 3 grams of minoxidil. Excipients: ethanol; propylene glycol.

This product is for male use only and is used to treat male pattern baldness and alopecia areata

For topical use, 1 ml each time (containing 50 mg of minoxidil, about 6 sprays), apply to the affected area of the head, start applying from the center of the affected area, and massage with your hands for 3 to 5 minutes. This dose should be used regardless of the size of the affected area. The total daily dosage should not exceed 2 ml. This product should be used when the hair and scalp are completely dry, and this product should not be applied to other areas of the body. After using this product, wash your hands.

The most common adverse reaction of this product in clinical practice is mild dermatitis of the scalp. Occasionally, the following adverse reactions have been reported after using this product, but the causal relationship with its use is not clear. These adverse reactions include facial hair growth, irritant dermatitis (redness, dandruff and burning pain), mild erythema, itching, nonspecific allergic reactions, wheals, allergic rhinitis, facial swelling, allergies, shortness of breath, headache, neuritis, dizziness, syncope, vertigo, edema, chest pain, changes in blood pressure, palpitations and changes in pulse rate.

It is contraindicated for those who are allergic to minoxidil or any other ingredient of this product. 2. It is contraindicated for pregnant and lactating women

Precautions for children: The safety and effectiveness of minoxidil solution for patients under 18 years of age have not been established. Precautions for pregnancy and lactation: The effect of minoxidil solution on pregnancy is unknown. Pregnant and lactating women should use this product with caution. Precautions for the elderly: The safety and effectiveness of minoxidil solution for patients over 65 years of age have not been established.

Although there is no clinical evidence, postural hypotension may still occur in patients taking peripheral vasodilators at the same time. 2.
