This product is a broad-spectrum penicillin antibiotic that exerts its bactericidal effect by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis. It has antibacterial effects on Enterobacteriaceae such as Escherichia coli, Proteus, Enterobacter, Citrobacter, Salmonella and Shigella, as well as other Gram-negative bacteria such as Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Haemophilus influenzae and Neisseria. It also has antibacterial activity against hemolytic streptococci, Streptococcus pneumoniae and Staphylococci that do not produce penicillinase. Many anaerobic bacteria such as Bacteroides fragilis and Clostridium are also sensitive to this product.

This product is a semi-synthetic penicillin antibiotic. It has a wider antibacterial spectrum against Gram-negative bacteria than ampicillin, and has strong antibacterial activity against Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Proteus, some Serratia, and some Enterobacteriaceae. It is used to treat urinary tract infections, lung infections, chest and abdominal infections, sepsis, etc. caused by sensitive bacteria, especially urinary tract infections, and can also be used for burns.

Intramuscular or intravenous injection: 2g-8g/day, divided into 3-4 times Intravenous drip: 2g-8g/day Intracavitary injection: 0.5-1.0g/time Intrathecal injection: 40mg/time for adults Dosage for children: 12.5-50mg/kg of body weight injected every six hours.

1. Allergic reactions: Allergic reactions to penicillins are common, including urticaria and other types of rashes, leukopenia, interstitial nephritis, asthma attacks and serum sickness reactions (type III allergic reactions). In severe cases, anaphylactic shock may occasionally occur. Once anaphylactic shock occurs, it is necessary to rescue on the spot, keep the airway open, inhale oxygen, and use epinephrine, glucocorticoids and other treatment measures. 2. Gastrointestinal reactions: nausea, vomiting and hepatomegaly, etc., ALT, AST, creatinine increase. 3. When this product is injected intravenously in large doses, nervous system reactions such as convulsions, hypernatremia and hypokalemia may occur. 4. This product is a weak acid, so acute metabolic acidosis may occur when the blood concentration is too high. This reaction is particularly common in patients with kidney disease and those who already have acidosis. 5. Others: Candida superinfection, bleeding, etc.
