This product is hydrolyzed into fosinoprilat in the liver. Fosinoprilat is a competitive angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitor that prevents angiotensin I from converting to angiotensin II, resulting in reduced vascular resistance, reduced aldosterone secretion, and increased plasma renin activity. Fosinoprilat also inhibits the degradation of bradykinin, which also reduces vascular resistance. This product dilates arteries and veins, reduces peripheral vascular resistance or afterload, reduces pulmonary capillary wedge pressure or preload, and also reduces vascular resistance, thereby improving cardiac output.

The dosage should be individualized and adjusted according to the efficacy. Patients with heart failure who have used cardiac glycosides and diuretics and have water and sodium deficiency should use a small dose of this product when starting.

If you plan to use them together, you should start with a small dose. 3. When used with potassium-retaining diuretics such as spironolactone, triamterene, and amiloride, it may cause hyperkalemia. 4. Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory analgesics (especially indomethacin) can inhibit renal prostaglandin synthesis and cause water and sodium retention. When used with this product, the antihypertensive effect of this product can be weakened. 5. When used with other antihypertensive drugs, the antihypertensive effect is enhanced. Among them, it has a greater additive effect with drugs that cause renin release or affect sympathetic activity, and a smaller additive effect with beta-receptor blockers.
