Pentotheline Citrate Syrup

This product has central and peripheral antitussive effects, and its antitussive effect strength is about 1/3 of codeine. In addition to having a direct inhibitory effect on the respiratory center of the medulla oblongata, it also has a mild atropine-like effect. It can relax spasmodic bronchial smooth muscles and reduce airway resistance.

This product contains 25 mg of pentoxyverine citrate per 10 ml, and the excipients are 6.5 g of sucrose, citric acid, menthol, ethylparaben, edible flavors, and caramel solution.

This product is a syrup.

Used for dry cough caused by various reasons.

Oral administration. Adults: 10 ml each time, 3 to 4 times a day. Children: Children over 5 years old: 5 ml each time, 2 to 3 times a day.

Occasionally, there may be constipation, mild headache, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth, nausea, abdominal distension, skin allergies and other reactions.

3. It is contraindicated for patients who are allergic to this product. It is contraindicated for pregnant women and lactating women. 4. It is contraindicated for patients with glaucoma and heart failure. This product has no expectorant effect and is contraindicated for patients with excessive sputum.
