Ambroxol Hydrochloride for Injection

Function and Efficacy

Pharmacology: This product has the characteristics of promoting mucus elimination and dissolving secretions. It can promote the elimination of viscous secretions in the respiratory tract and reduce the retention of mucus, thus significantly promoting expectoration and improving respiratory conditions. When using this product, the patient's mucus secretion can be restored to normal, cough and sputum volume are usually significantly reduced, and the surfactant of the mucosa on the respiratory tract can thus play its normal protective function. In the acute toxicity test of toxicology, LD50: 300 mg/kg for oral administration to mice; 140 mg/kg for intravenous injection, the toxicity index of ambroxol is very low. Ambroxol is non-mutagenic (Ames and micronucleus test). Carcinogenicity studies on mice and rats show that ambroxol is non-carcinogenic.
