Indication
It is used to treat sepsis caused by sensitive bacteria; endocarditis; pleurisy; peritonitis; lower respiratory tract infection; gastrointestinal and biliary tract infection; kidney, ureter, urinary tract infection; genital infection, gynecological infection; infection or risk of infection in patients with decreased resistance; short-term prevention or early treatment of perioperative infection; its efficacy in treating meningitis is better than that of ampicillin, and it is effective in treating Pseudomonas aeruginosa infection when used in combination with gentamicin.
Precautions
Contraindicated in patients allergic to penicillin antibiotics
