Sulbactam sodium

This product is a semi-synthetic β-lactamase inhibitor. It has strong antibacterial activity against Neisseria gonorrhoeae, Neisseria meningitidis and Acinetobacter calcoaceticus. It has poor effects on other bacteria, but has strong and irreversible competitive inhibition of β-lactamase produced by Staphylococcus aureus and most Gram-negative bacteria. The concentration of 2mg/L has a strong inhibitory effect on Richmond classification type Ⅱ, Ⅲ, Ⅳ and Ⅴ β-lactamase, but has a poor effect on type Ⅰ β-lactamase. It has a strong affinity for PBP1 of Bacillus paradoxus and PBP2 of Acinetobacter calcoaceticus.
