Papaverine Hydrochloride and Sodium Chloride Injection

Papaverine has a relaxing effect on smooth muscles, and can dilate coronary arteries, peripheral blood vessels, and cerebral blood vessels. It also has a relaxing effect on smooth muscles of the bronchi, gastrointestinal tract, and bile duct. Its effect may be due to the inhibition of phosphodiesterase, which increases cAMP.

1-[(3,4-dimethoxyphenyl)methyl]-6,7-dimethoxyisoquinoline hydrochloride

This product is a colorless clear liquid.

This product is a vasodilator. It is used to treat ischemia caused by spasm of the brain, heart and peripheral blood vessels, and spasm of the kidneys, gallbladder or gastrointestinal tract and other internal organs.

Slow intravenous drip, 30 mg at a time (calculated as papaverine hydrochloride), 90-120 mg per day, administered in 3-4 divided doses.

1. Jaundice may occur after medication, manifested as obvious yellowing of the eyes and skin, indicating liver damage. 2. Nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, constipation, headache, drowsiness and allergic reactions may occur. 3. It may cause redness, swelling or pain in the skin at the injection site. Rapid administration may cause deeper breathing, flushed face, accelerated heartbeat, hypotension and dizziness. 4. Overdose may cause blurred vision, diplopia, drowsiness or (and) weakness. 5. Increased blood eosinophils, alanine aminotransferase, alkaline phosphatase, aspartate aminotransferase and bilirubin may occur.

1 Complete atrioventricular block. 2 Parkinson's disease. 3 Allergic to this product. 4 Hemorrhagic cerebral infarction. 5 Patients with cerebral edema and increased intracranial pressure within 24 hours to 2 weeks after the onset of cerebral infarction, or those with decreased blood pressure or a downward trend in blood pressure.

Keep in a light-proof and airtight container. The validity period is tentatively set at two years.
