Adapalene gel
Function and Efficacy
Adapalene is a retinoid compound that has been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties in in vivo and in vitro inflammation models. The chemical structure of adapalene is stable and is not easily decomposed in air and light. In terms of mechanism of action, adapalene binds to specific retinoic acid nuclear receptors like retinoic acid, but unlike retinoic acid, adapalene does not bind to cytoplasmic receptors that bind to proteins. In skin medication tests conducted on animal models established with mice, it was shown that adapalene can treat acne and also has an effect on abnormal keratinization and differentiation of the epidermis, which is the cause of common acne. The mechanism of action of adapalene is believed to be to reduce the formation of microacne by normalizing the differentiation of hair follicle epithelial cells. In standard in vivo and in vitro anti-inflammatory analyses, adapalene is superior to retinoic acid. It can inhibit the chemotactic reaction of human polymorphonuclear leukocytes and inhibit the metabolism of polymorphonuclear leukocytes by inhibiting the conversion of arachidonic acid into inflammatory mediators through lipid oxidation. This shows that adapalene applied to acne affected areas can alleviate the inflammatory reaction mediated by cell reactions. Human clinical trial studies have shown that adapalene can alleviate the inflammatory reaction of acne. (such as pustules and papules, etc.).

Precautions
1. Those who are allergic to this product should not use it. Those with allergic constitution should use it with caution. 2. Pregnant and lactating women should not use it.
Special Population Medication
Precautions for children: Its safety and effectiveness in pediatric patients under 12 years old have not been established. Precautions for pregnancy and lactation: It is forbidden for pregnant and lactating women. Precautions for the elderly: In clinical trials, the subjects were aged between 12 and 30 years old, so it is not clear whether there is a difference between the elderly over 65 years old and the young.
Drug Interactions
At present, no interaction has been found between this product and other drugs that may be used on the skin at the same time, but other retinoids or other drugs with similar mechanisms of action should not be used at the same time. The chemical structure of adapalene is stable and it is not easy to decompose in air and sunlight. Extensive animal and human studies have not found phototoxicity and photosensitivity, but the safety of adapalene in animals and humans when repeatedly exposed to sunlight or ultraviolet radiation is still unknown. When using this product, excessive sun exposure and ultraviolet radiation should be avoided. The transdermal absorption of adapalene is very low, so it is impossible to have a corresponding effect with systemic medication. There is no evidence that the efficacy of oral drugs such as contraceptives and antibiotics will be affected by the use of Dafuwen on the skin. Dafuwen may have a mild local irritation effect. When used simultaneously with peeling agents, astringents or irritating substances, it may cause additional irritation reactions. Therefore, using other anti-acne drugs for skin use such as erythromycin (concentration ≤4%), clindamycin phosphate (1%) solution or benzoyl peroxide aqueous gel (concentration ≤10%) in the morning and using Dafuwen gel at night can avoid mutual degradation of drugs or the occurrence of cumulative irritation.
