Naproxen extended-release tablets

Naproxen is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug. It showed significant anti-inflammatory properties in classic animal experiments. In addition, it has significant analgesic and antipyretic effects, and even in animals with adrenalectomy, it showed anti-inflammatory efficacy, which indicates that this effect is not transmitted through the pituitary-adrenal gland. Like other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, it can inhibit prostate synthase, but the true mechanism of its anti-inflammatory effect has not yet been clarified. Absorption, distribution, and elimination: After oral administration, almost all of it is absorbed in the gastrointestinal tract. Taking one naproxen sustained-release tablet (0.5g) orally per day is equivalent to taking two ordinary tablets (0.25g) orally per day. The area under the blood drug concentration curve (AUC) of the two is equal. Compared with ordinary tablets, it has a longer peak time and a lower peak concentration. More than 99% of naproxen at therapeutic doses is bound to serum albumin, and 95% is excreted in the urine in the form of prototype, 6-0-desmethyl naproxen and its conjugated compounds.

This product is white tablets.

It is mainly used to treat rheumatoid arthritis, juvenile arthritis, osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, acute rheumatism, and tenosynovitis. It can also be used to relieve pain caused by musculoskeletal sprains, contusions, and injuries.

Oral administration: Adults: 0.5g (2 tablets) once a day, or as directed by a doctor.

Commonly reported adverse reactions include abdominal discomfort, headache, nausea, peripheral edema (mild), tinnitus, and dizziness.

1. Patients with known allergies to this product. 2. Patients who have asthma, urticaria or allergic reactions after taking aspirin or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. 3. Contraindicated for the treatment of perioperative pain in coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG). 4. Patients with a history of gastrointestinal bleeding or perforation after the use of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. 5. Patients with active peptic ulcers/bleeding, or patients with recurrent ulcers/bleeding in the past. 6. Patients with severe heart failure. 7. Pregnant and lactating women are contraindicated. 8. Contraindicated for patients with asthma, nasal polyposis syndrome, neuroangioedema, and allergies to aspirin and other antipyretic analgesics. 9. Contraindicated for patients with hemophilia or thrombocytopenia, or active ulcer disease.

Precautions for children: Not yet clear. Precautions for pregnancy and lactation: Not for use by pregnant and lactating women. Precautions for the elderly: Not yet clear.

1. Drinking alcohol or using it with other anti-inflammatory analgesics can increase gastrointestinal adverse reactions and the risk of ulcer attacks. 2. When used with anticoagulants such as heparin and dicoumarol, the bleeding time is prolonged, bleeding tendency may occur, and there is a possibility of causing gastrointestinal ulcers. 3. This product can reduce the sodium excretion and antihypertensive effects of furosemide. 4. This product can inhibit the excretion of lithium and increase the blood lithium concentration. 5. When used with probenecid, the blood concentration of this product increases, the half-life is prolonged, the efficacy is increased, but the adverse reactions also increase accordingly. 6.
