Recombinant human interferon α-2b gel
Function and Efficacy
In vivo and in vitro studies have shown that the biological activity of pegylated interferon α-2b comes from its component recombinant human interferon α-2b. Interferon exerts its cellular activity by binding to specific cell membrane receptors on the cell surface. Studies on other interferons have shown that interferon is species-specific. In some primates, such as rhesus monkeys, there is a pharmacodynamic response after administration of human type I interferon. Once interferon binds to the cell membrane, it can initiate a series of complex intracellular processes, including the induction of certain enzymes. It is believed that this process is at least partly responsible for the interferon cellular response, including a series of immune regulatory activities such as inhibiting viral replication, inhibiting cell proliferation, enhancing macrophage phagocytic activity, and increasing lymphocyte specific cytotoxicity to target cells in virus-infected cells. All these processes produce the therapeutic effect of interferon. Recombinant human interferon α-2b inhibits viral replication both in vivo and in vitro. Although the exact mechanism of antiviral action is unclear, it may be related to changes in host cell metabolism. This effect can inhibit viral replication, or the progeny virus particles cannot leave the cell when the virus replicates.

Appearance
This product is a transparent hydrogel.
Indication
Genital warts, oral herpes, genital herpes
Usage and Dosage
Apply to the affected area 4 times a day, massage the affected area for 2-3 minutes after each application to help the drug absorb. Use the drug for 6 weeks for condyloma acuminatum, and for 1 week for oral herpes and genital herpes.
Adverse Reactions
Mild itching and burning pain were occasionally seen during medication, which could be relieved on their own without stopping treatment. No other obvious adverse reactions were observed.
Precautions
Pregnant women who are allergic to peginterferon α-2b or any interferon or an excipient. Do not start the combination therapy of this product and ribavirin before obtaining a negative pregnancy reaction result. Male patients with a pregnant spouse should not use this product and ribavirin for the combination therapy. Patients with autoimmune hepatitis or a history of autoimmune disease, liver decompensation or severe renal failure (creatinine clearance
Special Population Medication
Precautions for children: There is still limited experience with medication in children. For such cases, the drug should be used carefully after weighing the pros and cons and following the doctor's advice. Others are still unclear. Precautions for pregnancy and lactation: There are currently no adequate and rigorous controlled clinical studies in pregnant women. This product can only be used if the doctor truly believes that the potential benefits outweigh the potential risks to the fetus. Precautions for the elderly: Use normally.
Drug Interactions
No pharmacokinetic interaction between this product and ribavirin was found in multiple-dose pharmacokinetic studies. The results of the pharmacokinetic interaction study of a single dose of this product showed that it had no effect on the activity of cytochrome P450CYP1A2, CYP2C8/9, CYP2D6, liver CYP3A4 or N-acetyltransferase. In addition, there are literature reports that when CYP1A2 substrates (such as theophylline) are used with other interferons, clearance is reduced by 50%. Therefore, care should be taken when this product is used with drugs that are metabolized by CYP1A2.
