Famotidine Calcium Magnesium Chewable Tablets
Function and Efficacy
Compound famotidine chewable tablets can directly neutralize gastric acid through calcium carbonate and magnesium hydroxide, and inhibit gastric acid secretion through famotidine, so as to relieve symptoms such as acid reflux, stomach pain, and heartburn. Calcium carbonate and magnesium hydroxide are antacids. After oral administration, they directly neutralize excessive gastric acid in the stomach and take effect quickly. At the same time, they reduce the activity of pepsin in decomposing gastric wall protein, relieve gastric acid erosion and irritation of gastric and duodenal mucosa, and have the effect of relieving pain and promoting ulcer healing. Famotidine is a third-generation H2 receptor antagonist. It inhibits gastric acid secretion by blocking H2 receptors. It also has a significant inhibitory effect on gastric acid secretion caused by pentagastrin, cholinergic receptor agonists and vagus nerve excitation. The effect of famotidine in controlling symptoms can last for 12 hours after a single dose.
