Macrolide antibiotics are derivatives of erythromycin. Their antibacterial spectrum is similar to that of erythromycin, but their effects are 6 times stronger than that of erythromycin and their bioavailability is high. It is used for respiratory tract infections, such as pneumonia, acute bronchitis, acute infection of chronic bronchitis, atypical pneumonia, infection of genitourinary system, skin and soft tissue infection, etc., and has good therapeutic effect and tolerance, with less adverse reactions than erythromycin.
