    Photoinitiator 2959


    Photoinitiator 2959 is an efficient UV curing initiator without yellowing, which is used to initiate UV polymerization of unsaturated polymers and active monomers. Particularly suitable for acrylic resin and unsaturated polyester water-based UV systems and requirements of low odor areas. The hydroxyl groups of the product can react with the appropriate functional groups of the resin to form a multi-curing effect.

Photoinitiator 2959 is used in packaging applications, such as food and drug packaging boxes, with very low volatility and odor; in the United States, the structure of the material has passed the FDA certification. The hydroxyl structure of photoinitiator 2959 can make the reaction to the resin structure, thus reducing the extractability of the system, so it is especially suitable for water-based systems, in the curing process, consider drying moisture or air cycle drying process. Since the initiation effect of photoinitiator 2959 largely depends on different formulations, the best effect and amount of photoinitiator should be obtained by formulation test. The dosage of photoinitiator 2959 suggested: 1 -4% should be based on the actual experimental results.
