The VEGFR tyrosine kinase inhibitors, KRN633, possess dual functions:inhibition of VEGFR signaling and HIF-1alpha expression under the hypoxic condition. KRN633 suppresses HIF-1alpha expression through inhibition of both Akt and ERK phosphorylation signaling pathways.
