DL-α-Tocopherol

Instruction:Dl-α-tocopherol, chemical name of (±)-2, 5, 7, 8-tetramethyl-2 -(4 ', 8 ', 12 '-trimethyltridecyl) -6-chromanol, also known as vitamin E alcohol, is a class of compounds that mainly show the activity of vitamin E. It was named "tocopherol" because its vitamin activity was first identified in 1936 in experiments targeting reproductive factors in rats. It is found in edible oils, fruits, vegetables and grains. It is a fat-soluble vitamin and an important antioxidant. The similar substances of DL-α-tocopherol include D-α-tocopherol; D-α-tocopherol ester; Dl-α-tocopherol ester; D-α-tocopherol hydric succinate; Dl-α-tocopherol hydric succinate; β-tocopherol; Gamma-tocopherol; δ-tocopherol; Tocopherol oil; All of them had the physiological activity of vitamin E, among which DL-α-tocopherol had the highest activity and the strongest antioxidant capacity.
