1. Physical and chemical properties:

1.1 Product brief: HTPB is a liquid teleclaw polymer and a type of rubbers. It reacts with chain extender, cross-linking agent or curative at room temperature or high temperature to form the three-dimensional network structure of thermosetting polymer. It has excellent characteristics, such as, good mechanical properties, hydrolysis resistance, acid and alkali resistance, wear resistance, cold temperature tolerance, electrical insulating property.

3. Application:

HTPB are mainly used as binder in aerospace solid rocket propellant. HTPB is poured into the engine propulsion system and cured together with oxidizer, aluminum powder and high-energy combustion materials, and is used as a binder for solid rockets and various missile propellants. It is also used as a propellant binder for the propulsion, direction change, escape and deceleration systems of spacecraft.

50L white PE plastic bucket with mouth diameter no less than 100 mm. Net weight: 50 kg per bucket.

5. Storage：

Stored at cool, dry and ventilate place. The best storage condition is between -20～38℃. Shelf life: 12 months. After the storage period expires, the samples should be re-sampled and re-inspected according to the technical specifications in Part 2, and they can still be used after passing the test.

6. Transportation:

Avoid rain, moisture and sun exposure. Don't mix with strong oxidizer.

Because of its low glass transition temperature, high elasticity, high water resistance, and hydrophobicity, HTPB is widely used in adhesives, foam, rocket propellant, and other fields. HTPB is a commonly used binding polymer in industry to produce polyurethanes. HTPB synthesis via allylic radical propagation leads to varied compositions and conformations that govern this polymer's bulk physical and mechanical properties. The low surface energy and flexibility at low temperatures of HTPB-based polyurethane elastomers have been extensively studied [1-2].
