Dioctyl Phthalate/DOP

Dioctyl phthalate (DOP), an organic ester compound, is a commonly used plasticizer.

Colorless transparent liquid with a special smell. The relative density is 0.986. Melting point -55 ℃. Boiling point 386.9℃, flash point 217℃. Ignition point 241℃. Refractive index 1.4852. Viscosity 81.4 Mpa. s Vapor pressure (200℃)176Pa. Insoluble in water, soluble in most organic solvents and hydrocarbons. Good compatibility with most industrial resins. Compatible with cellulose acetate and polyvinyl acetate.

This reference material is mainly used for calibration of measuring instruments, evaluation of analytical methods and quality control, as well as the content determination and residue detection of corresponding components in food, health, environment and agriculture and other related fields. It can also be used for quantification and value tracing or as a standard liquid reserve solution, which can be configured into various working standard solutions through step-by-step dilution.

Due to its excellent performance in compatibility, flexibility, low volatility and extraction resistance, this product is considered as the industry standard of PVC general plasticizer and is used as the benchmark for comparison with other plasticizers. It is an ideal plasticizer for a wide range of applications

Used in the processing of polyvinyl chloride and cellulose resins. It can also be used as a softener for synthetic rubber.
