Physical and chemical properties	Sodium thiosulfate, also known as sodium soda and Haibo (derived from its alias sodium hyposulfite), is a common thiosulfate with the chemical formula of NAJS and a molecular weight of 158.108. Sodium thiosulfate is colorless, transparent crystalline or crystalline fine particles; odorless, salty; weathering in dry Air, deliquescent in wet Air; easily soluble in water, weak in aqueous solution Alkaline reaction; reaction with strong acid to produce elemental sulfur and sulfur dioxide gas [1]. With the participation of thiocyanase, it can combine with cyanide ions that are free in the body or bound to methemoglobin to form a non-toxic thiocyanate that is excreted in the urine and decyanide poisoning. In addition, it can be combined with a variety of metal ions to form non-toxic sulfides that are excreted in urine, and it also has a desensitization effect. Clinically used for cyanide and nitrile poisoning, arsenic, bismuth, iodine, mercury, lead and other poisoning treatment, as well as the treatment of skin pruritus, chronic dermatitis, chronic urticaria, drug eruption, scabies, ringworm, etc. [2]. The chemical formula is Na US O. Appearance and properties: colorless crystals or white powder, deliquescence in moist Air. The specific gravity 1.69, rapidly heating and dissolving at 48 ℃. Insoluble in alcohol, soluble in 0.5 parts of water, the aqueous solution is nearly neutral (pH6.5-8.0). Its anhydrous substance is powder, soluble in water, almost insoluble in alcohol.
