  • Description

PEG-400 is perfect for soft capsules. Because PEG400 is a liquid, it has a wide range of compatibility with various solvents, is a good solvent and solubilizer. When vegetable oil is not suitable for active ingredient carrier, PEG is the preferred solubilizing material. This is mainly because PEG is stable and not easy to deteriorate, and the injection containing PEG is very safe and stable when heated to 150 degrees Celsius. In addition, it can be mixed with different high molecular weight (PEG) to make the mixture have good solubility and good compatibility with drugs.

Peg-1450,3350 is most suitable for use as poultices, suppositories and creams. Due to the high water solubility and wide melting point range, PEG1450,3350 can be used alone or mixed to produce a preservation time field and a melting point range that meets the requirements of drugs and physical effects. Suppositories using PEG substrates are less irritating than those using conventional oil substrates.

Peg-4000, 6000, 8000 are used in tablets, capsules, film coats, dropping pills, suppositories, etc. Due to the plasticity of PEG during the production process and its ability to improve the release of drugs from the tablet, high molecular weight PEG (PEG4000, PEG6000, PEG8000) is very useful as a binder for the manufacture of tablets. PEG makes the surface of the tablet shiny and smooth, while not easily damaged. In addition, a small amount of high molecular weight PEG (PEG4000, PEG6000, PEG8000) can prevent the adhesion between the icing tablets and the bonding between the bottle.

    Function and efficacy
Polyethylene glycol 400 is a colorless or almost colorless viscous liquid. Polyethylene glycol with low relative molecular weight can be used as solvent, co-solvent, O/W emulsifier and stabilizer, used for making cement suspension, emulsion, injection, etc., and also used as water-soluble ointment base and suppository base. Solid waxy polyethylene glycol with high relative molecular weight is often used to increase the viscosity and solid formation of low molecular weight liquid PEG, as well as other drugs. For drugs that are not easily dissolved in water, this product can be used as a carrier of solid dispersant to achieve the purpose of solid dispersion.
