Physicochemical properties: white flaky crystals or crystalline powder. It has a special smell and is slightly sweet. Optically active, melting point 280 ~ 281 ° C (decomposition), soluble in water (3.3g / 100ml, 25 ° C), 10% aqueous solution pH 5.6 ~ 6.1, stable to heat and air, unstable to strong acid. Soluble in dilute acid and dilute alkali, very difficult to dissolve in ethanol, almost insoluble in ether. Can cause demethylation.

Uses: Methionine is a "skeleton" amino acid of biosynthetic protein. It is one of the essential amino acids for the growth of poultry animals. It has a strong regulatory effect on animal metabolism and is widely used in feed, medicine, food and cosmetics.

In the feed industry, the largest amount of methionine is used as a nutritional supplement for feed, a feed additive that compensates for the balance of amino acids, and 1 kg of methionine is added to the feed, which is equivalent to the nutritional value of 50 kg of fishmeal. The amount of methionine added to the feed is generally from 0.05% to 0.2%.

In medicine, methionine can be used as a main component of amino acid infusion and complex amino acids, and can also be used for synthesizing medicinal vitamins, and can be used for producing liver-protecting preparations by utilizing its anti-fatty liver function.

In terms of food, methionine is used for the amino acid strengthening of foods and the processing of food health products, and can be used as a nutritional supplement.

The outer layer is made of polyethylene composite cloth, the middle layer is kraft paper, and the inner layer is low density polyethylene film. The net weight of each bag is 25kg.
