Product application The princepal use of oleic acid is as a component in many foods, in the form its triglycerides. It is a
component of the normal human diet as a part of animal fats and vegetable oils. Oleic aci as its sodium salt is a major component
of soap as an emulsifying agent. It is also used as an emollient. Smalll amounts of oleic acid are used as an excipient in
pharmaceuticals, and it is used as an emulsifying or solubilizing agent in aerosol products. Oleic acid is also used to induce
lung damage in certain types of animals, for the purpose of testing new drugs and other means to treat lung diseases. Specifically
in sheep, intravenos administration of oleic acid causes acute lung injury with corresponding pulmonary edema. Oleic acid is used
a soldering flux in stained glass work for joining lead came. Oleic acid is also widely use in the solution phase synthesis of
nanoparticles, functioning as kinetic knob to control the size and morphology of nanoparticles.

Main uses: oleic acid is an indispensable nutrient in animal food. Its lead salt, manganese salt and cobalt salt are drying agents for paint; copper salt is preservative for fishing net; aluminum salt can be used as fabric waterproof agent and thickener of some lubricating oil. Epoxidation of oleic acid can produce epoxy oleate (Plasticizer). Azelaic acid (raw material of polyamide resin) was prepared by oxidative cracking. Wool textile industry is used to prepare antistatic agent and lubricating softener. Wood industry is used to prepare paraffin emulsion of water resistant agent. Azelaic acid is prepared by oxidation, which is the raw material of polyamide resin (nylon). It can also be used as agricultural pesticide emulsifier, lubricant, printing and dyeing auxiliaries, industrial solvent, metal mineral flotation agent, release agent, oil hydrolysis agent, used to prepare carbon paper, typing paper, ballpoint pen oil and various oleate. It can be used as chemical reagent, chromatogram contrast sample and biochemical research, check calcium, ammonia, copper, and determine magnesium and sulfur.
