What is Tetracycline hydrochloride ?

Tetracycline hydrochloride is the hydrochloride form of the tetracycline. Tetracycline is a kind of broad-spectrum polyketide antibiotics produced by the Streptomyces genus of antinobacteria. It is a kind of bacteriostatic antibiotics which inhibits the bacteria growth through binding to the 30 S ribosomal subunit, blocking the aminoacyl tRNA from binding to the translating ribosome, thus interfering with the protein synthesis process.Tetracycline hydrochloride is a broad-spectrum antibiotic with bactericidal effect in high concentrations. In addition to common gram-positive bacteria, gram-negative bacteria and anaerobic bacteria, Most Rickettsiae, Mycoplasma, Chlamydia, Atypical Mycobacterium, Spirochaeta, actinomyces, Anthrax, Listeria monocytogenes, Clostridium Chemicalbook, and nocardia are sensitive to this product. The action of this product against gram-positive bacteria is better than gram-negative bacteria, but enterococcus and penicillin-resistant gonococcus are resistant to it. This product has good antibacterial action against Vibrio, Brucella, Campylobacter, Yersinia and other gram-negative bacteria, and has no antibacterial activity against Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
