What is Isomalto Oligosaccharide ?
Isomalto-oligosaccharide (IMO) is a soluble prebiotic fiber, low calorie sweetener used to reduce calories/sugar in formulations. IMO can increase absorption of dietary minerals, and is digestion resistant.
IMO is a mixture of shortchain carbohydrates made of glucose molecules which are linked with each other through a digestion resistant bonding.

- Direct physiological effect:
(1) Isomaltooligosaccharides are difficult to digest by gastric enzymes, have low sweetness and low calories, and basically do not increase blood sugar and blood lipids.
