Loridamine, also known as lonidal acid and trade name Doridamina, was developed by Germany Angelopharm and marketed in Italy in 1986 as an antineoplastic drug. Chloronidamine is a tumor thermosensitive drug different from traditional antineoplastic drugs, it does not affect cell proliferation, mainly acts on the energy metabolism of cells, by changing the mitochondrial ultra-fine junction Chemicalbook structure of tumor cells, inhibiting the activity of hexokinase bound to mitochondria, thereby reducing the glycolysis of tumor cells, and affecting the expression of apoptosis-related proteins, inhibiting the oxygen consumption of malignant cells to achieve the purpose of inhibiting tumor cells. It can be used for the treatment of various tumors such as breast cancer, prostate cancer, lung cancer and brain tumors, etc., and is being studied and applied more and more because of its wide anti-cancer spectrum and small side effects.  Product Detail

    ECHEMI Editorial Reference
Lonidamine is an orally administered small molecule hexokinase inactivator.Target: OthersLonidamine is a derivative of indazole-3-carboxylic acid, which for a long time, has been known to inhibit aerobic glycolysis in cancer cells. It seems to enhance aerobic glycolysis in normal cells, but suppress glycolysis in cancer cells. This is most likely through the inhibition of the mitochondrially bound hexokinase. Later studies in Ehrlich ascites tumor cells showed that lonidamine inhibits bo
Lonidamine is a member of the class of indazoles that is 1H-indazole that is substituted at positions 1 and 3 by 2,4-dichlorobenzyl and carboxy groups, respectively. It has a role as an antispermatogenic agent, an antineoplastic agent, a geroprotector and an EC 2.7.1.1 (hexokinase) inhibitor. It is a member of indazoles, a dichlorobenzene and a monocarboxylic acid.|Lonidamine (LND) is a drug that interferes with energy metabolism of cancer cells, principally inhibiting aerobic glycolytic activity, by its effect on mitochondrially-bound hexokinase (HK). In such way LND could impair energy-requiring processes, as recovery from potentially lethal damage, induced by radiation treatment and by some cytotoxic drugs.|Lonidamine is an indazole carboxylic acid derivative that exhibits radiosensitizing and antiparasitic effects and interferes with the multidrug resistance mechanism.
