Flurbiprofen, also known as phenfobuprofen and fluorophenylpropionic acid, is a powerful phenylpropionic acid antipyretic and anti-inflammatory analgesic, which can inhibit the synthesis of prostaglandins by cyclooxygenase and play analgesic, anti-inflammatory and antipyretic effects. Its anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects are 250 times and 50 times greater than that of aspirin (also known as acetylsalicylic acid), respectively. Oral absorption is rapid, the plasma concentration reaches the peak after 1.5 hours, the half-life is 3.5 hours, the tissue distribution is wide, and the PPB is 99.4%, which can compete with drugs with high plasma protein binding rate for plasma protein. In the liver Chemicalbook is metabolized as hydroxyflurbiprofen and its aldehyde conjugate. T1/2 is 3.5h. Excreted in urine and feces, about 60% and 40%, respectively. Age has no significant effect on drug metabolism. It is mainly used for rheumatoid arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and degenerative arthritis. It can also prevent aphagical cystoid spotted edema after surgical lens removal, inhibit pupil constriction during surgery, and treat eye inflammation after cataract and trabeculoplasty laser surgery. It is also suitable for pain caused by some other causes such as trauma, sprains, surgery, etc.
