White or light yellow powdery or liquid with a slightly oily odor. Soluble in water, it can reduce the surface tension of aqueous solution and emulsify grease. It is not sensitive to alkali and hard water, and has good compatibility with anion and non-ion. This product is flammable, irritating and sensitizing. Flammable in case of open fire or high heat. Decomposition by heat releases toxic gases.

It is obtained by sulfonating dodecyl alcohol (lauryl alcohol) with sulfur trioxide or chlorosulfonic acid, then neutralizing by alkali, bleaching and spray drying.

use
It has good emulsification, foaming, penetration, decontamination and dispersion properties, and good biodegradability. It is mainly used as blowing agent for toothpaste, shampoo and so on. It can also be used as emulsifier, fire extinguishing agent, blowing agent and textile industry additives, electroplating additives, etc. The product is a mixture of sodium alkyl sulfate homologues based on sodium dodecyl sulfate.

Handling and Storage

Precautions for safe handling

NO open flames. Handling in a well ventilated place. Wear suitable protective clothing. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Avoid formation of dust and aerosols. Use non-sparking tools. Prevent fire caused by electrostatic discharge steam.

Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities

Dry. Well closed. Separated from food and feedstuffs and strong oxidants. Store in an area without drain or sewer access.

Inhalation: Remove victim to fresh air and keep at rest in a position comfortable for breathing. Get medical advice/attention if you feel unwell

Skin contact: Remove/Take off immediately all contaminated clothing. Rinse skin with water/shower. If skin irritation or rash occurs: Get medical advice/attention.

Eye contact :Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present

Ingestion ： Get medical advice/attention if you feel unwell. Rinse mouth. Protection of first-aiders: A rescuer should wear personal protective equipment, such as rubber gloves and air tight goggles

Recycle to process, if possible. Consult your local regional authorities. You may be able to dissolve or mix material with a combustible solvent and burn in a chemical incinerator equipped with an afterburner and scrubber system. Observe all federal, state and local regulations when disposing of the substance.
