Chemical property

Colorless, odorless crystals that can be weathered and flammable in air. Soluble in water and ether, slightly soluble in ethanol. The melting point of sodium acetate trihydrate is 58℃, the relative density is 1.45 ℃, and the spontaneous combustion point is 607.2℃. 3 molecules of water are removed at 123℃. The melting point of anhydrous sodium acetate is 324℃ and the relative density is 1.528.

Purpose

Used as a common analytical reagent, mordant, buffer, and can also be used in dye synthesis and film development. Used in medicine, printing and dyeing and organic synthesis. Anhydrous sodium acetate is available as pharmaceutical grade, food grade, E262(European) and industrial grade.
