What is Tetrasodium pyrophosphate ?
Tetrasodium pyrophosphate is colorless transparent crystal or white powder. The relative density is 1.824, and the melting point is 880℃. Soluble in water, insoluble in alcohol, its aqueous solution is alkaline, easy to weather, moisture absorption. It has a strong pH buffer and has certain chelating effect on metal ions. Anhydrous sodium pyrophosphate is mainly used as water softener, bleaching auxiliaries for printing and dyeing, wool degreaser, boiler descaling agent, metal ion chelating agent, dispersant, auxiliaries for printing and dyeing and fine bleaching of grass products. Synthetic detergent additives. Oil well mud regulator, production of ABS resin additives. Used as a complexing agent for copper in electroplating Chemicalbook solution. Sodium pyrophosphate decahydrate is mainly used as a toothpaste stabilizer. It is used as emulsifier, buffer, chelating agent, gelling agent and stabilizer in food industry. Sodium pyrophosphate meets Ag+ to produce white silver pyrophosphate, while orthophosphate reacts with Ag+ to produce yellow silver orthophosphate precipitations-characteristic reactions that distinguish the two salts from each other. Edible sodium pyrophosphate has the ability to integrate with metal particles, disperse, flocculate, emulsify, prevent fat and oxidation, casein viscidity and so on. When Ph value is high, it has the effect of inhibiting food spoilage.

ApplicationFunction

1.It can be used as quality improver, emulsifying dispersant, buffering agent and chelating agent in food processing. It has obvious chelating and dispersing effect and can resist flocculation. Can prevent fat oxidation, casein viscidity and other effects. When the PH value is high, it has the effect of inhibiting food spoilage and fermentation.
