Cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP, cyclic AMP, or 3',5'-cyclic adenosine monophosphate) is a second messenger important in many biological processes. cAMP is a derivative of adenosine triphosphate (ATP) and used for intracellular signal transduction in many different organisms, conveying the cAMP-dependent pathway.
Adenosine is an endogenous nucleoside that is distributed throughout human cells. It can directly enter the myocardium to generate adenylate , which participates in myocardial energy metabolism, and also participates in dilating coronary blood vessels and increasing blood flow. It can be used to treat supraventricular tachycardia. Adenosine has physiological effects on the cardiovascular system and many other systems and tissues of the body. Adenosine is an important intermediate used to synthesize adenosine triphosphate (ATP), adenine, adenylate, and arabino adenosine.
It can be used in the disease caused by tissue injury and activity reduction of ecto enzyme , including heart failure, carditis, miocardial infarction, cerebral arteriosclersis, coronary sclerosis, progressive muscular atrophy , cerebral hemorrhage , chronic hepatitis, cirrhosis of liver and hearing handicap, etc.
