What is Oxiracetam ?

Oxiracetam, English name Oxiracetam, chemical name 4-hydroxy-2-oxypyrrolide-n-acetamide;2-(4-hydroxy-2-oxy-1-pyrrolidinyl) acetamide, which can obtain white microcrystalline powder from meth.anol, melting point 165 ~ 168ºC.Clinically, it is used for the treatment of brain injury and nerve function loss, memory and intelligence disorder.

Several animal studies suggest that the substance is safe even when high doses are consumed for a long period of time. However, the mechanism of action of the racetam drug family is still a matter of research.

Experience does show that taking too much oxiracetam on a single day can result in headaches and possible insomia, however the addition of a choline source usually prevents this. It is advised to regulate any nootropic intake depending on the immediate and longterm effects it produces for an individual.

Application:

Oxiracetam enhances high affinity choline uptake (HACU) which is the rate limiting step of acetylcholine (ACh) synthesis, and is the only known choline uptake enhancer to currently exist. Studies have shown Coluracetam to improve learning impairment on a single oral dose given to rats which have been exposed to cholinergic neurotoxins. Subsequent studies have shown that it may induce long-lasting procognitive effects by changing the choline transporter regulation system
