       White powder, insoluble in water, cold ethanol and ether, soluble in organic solvents such as hot benzene, benzene and turpentine, slightly soluble in hot ethanol and ether. When heated to 400ºC, it is slowly decomposed, flammable, and decomposed into stearic acid and corresponding calcium salt in case of strong acid, and has hygroscopic property.Calcium Stearate is widely used in many fields.
