Used as gas chromatography fixatives, solvents, antifreeze agents, plasticizers, and dehydrating agents as carrier solvents; Moisturizing agent; Moisturizing agents; Anti caking agent; antioxidant; Organizational improver; Surfactants; Stabilizer; Thickening agent; Dough conditioner; Emulsifier; Seasoning agents; Excipient Chemicalbook; Processing aids. GB2760-96 are listed as food processing aids. Mainly used as a solvent for various spices, pigments, preservatives, and as an extraction solvent for vanilla beans, roasted coffee granules, natural spices, etc. Moisturizing and softening agents for candies, bread, packaged meat, cheese, etc. It can also be used as an anti mold additive for noodles and filling cores. Adding 0.006% to soy milk can maintain its flavor when heated, resulting in white and glossy packaged tofu. When fried, the tofu will expand in volume.
